MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
Our SIR Branch #106 2024 Christmas Party was held on Wednesday, December 18th, 2024 at the Paradise Valley Club House. This was a really great Christmas Party! Our social hour began around 11:00 am, with lunch being available in a buffet style setting around 12:30.
We had 123 guests, Sir Members, spouses, other family members and friends. Our Big Sir Mike Gardner welcomed all in attendance, We, as always opened our luncheon with a prayer and the singing of our National Anthem, both led by Ron Lodetti. Our New 2025 BEC Members were installed and Rich Barker, Jim Evans and Steve Handel were presented with Distinguished Service Award Pins for long term outstanding service to our branch.
We also honored two long time members Rich Forgie and Dennis Dix with our Honorary Life Membership award because of their continued and long term commitment and dedication to our Sir 106 organization.
We had an excellent lunch of Prime Rib or Salmon (Some of us had both) with plenty of salad, potatoes, etc. Our desserts were purchased at Costco with each of our sheet cakes having a Christmas Theme and with both Chocolate and Vanilla flavors. We also had an assorted tray of Christmas Cookies for those who wanted just a light dessert. We had more than enough desserts for all of our members and guests.
Lunch was followed by our raffle of all kinds of Alcohol, Beers, Gift Certificates, Rounds of Golf, Golf Balls and even a large package of Toilet Paper, with Lottery cards attached.
The raffle was followed by a couple of hours of dancing and a lot of laughter. All of the center pieces (one at each table) was given to the person with their backs facing the stage.
Our Big Sir (Mike Gardner) did a fantastic job as our MC for the day.
